The Balochistan Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced vacancies for Medical Officers, Lady Medical Officers, and Dental Surgeons under Advertisement No. 04/2025. Applications are invited for initial recruitment in the Health Department, Government of Balochistan.

1. Medical Officer (BPS-17)

• Total Posts: 170
• Zonal Allocation:
  • Quetta Zone: 78
  • Nasirabad Zone: 17
  • Mekran Zone: 41
  • Minorities Quota: 34
• Qualification:
  • MBBS recognized by Pakistan Medical Council (PMC)
  • One-year House Job
• Age Limit: 21–35 years (with general age relaxation up to 43 years)
• Gender: Male only
• Syllabus: MCQs Test in relevant subjects (available at bpsc.gob.pk)

2. Lady Medical Officer (BPS-17)

• Total Posts: 19
• Zonal Allocation: Includes Minorities Quota
• Qualification:
  • MBBS recognized by PMC
  • One-year House Job
• Age Limit: 21–35 years (general relaxation up to 43 years)
• Gender: Female only
• Syllabus: MCQs Test in relevant subjects

3. Dental Surgeon (BPS-17)

• Total Posts: 13
• Zonal Allocation:
  • Quetta Zone: 5
  • Nasirabad Zone: 3
  • Minorities Quota: 5
• Qualification:
  • BDS recognized by PMC
  • One-year House Job
• Registration: Permanent, valid PMC registration is required
• Age Limit: 21–35 years (relaxation up to 43 years)
• Gender: Both male and female candidates are eligible
• Syllabus: MCQs Test in relevant dental subjects

Important Instructions

• Closing Date for Applications: Thursday, 12th June 2025
• Apply Online Only: www.bpsc.gob.pk
• Application Fee for BPS-17 Posts: Rs. 800/- (Deposit under Head C02101 in SBP/NBP branches in Balochistan)

General Guidelines

• Age Calculation: Based on the closing date of application.
• Local/Domicile Certificate: Required for your district. Married women not in govt. service can apply on the basis of their husband’s domicile (with her name mentioned).
• Experience: Only post-qualification full-time paid jobs are considered valid. Internships, apprenticeships, and honorary roles are not accepted.
• Eligibility: Determined after written screening; ineligible candidates will be disqualified even if they pass the test.
• Viva Voce: Shortlisted candidates from the written test will be interviewed on:
  • Current Affairs (past 1–2 months)
  • General Knowledge (Pakistan, Balochistan & International)
  • Islamic/Religious Studies
  • Pakistan Studies (1857–present)

Documents Required After Shortlisting

Candidates must submit verified and attested copies of:

• CNIC, Domicile, Educational Degrees (Matric to highest qualification)
• 4 Passport-size photos
• Experience Certificate (if required)
• Departmental Permission Certificate (if government employee)

Failure to submit accurate documents within 10 days of notification will lead to disqualification.

• No hardcopy required unless you lack internet access, in which case submit the prescribed form to BPSC, Quetta before the deadline.
• Keep your original CNIC, Treasury Receipt, and Admission Slip for the exam.
• Roll number slips will be available on the BPSC website and also sent via SMS/post.
